BUSINESSES and community groups have come forward to support the Henley Youth Festival.
The event, now in its 21st year, is run by volunteers and funded entirely by sponsorship. More than a dozen new sponsors and private donors have responded to an appeal by the organisers for support.
Thought By Design has created a new website for the festival and OakTree Wealth Management will pay for the programme to be printed.
Other new supporters include Dragonflies Montessori Nursery, Simmons & Sons, Davis Tate, Southern Plant Hire, Kench & Co, D J Dawes (Farms), Denning Montessori School, Associated Holdings, Houdret & Company and Fidelity Group as well as Henley Round Table and Henley Lions. They join established sponsors Stonor House and Higgs Group, publisher of the Henley Standard, the Bell Bookshop, HEDFAS, Henley Royal Regatta, Henwood & Dean, the Henley Educational Trust and Henley Rotary Club.
Lucie Henwood, who co-chairs the festival, said: “We are very grateful to all out sponsors. It seems they are very happy to support young people in Henley.”
The festival will take place between March 3 and 16 and will have theme of “Heroes”.
There will be 48 events at primary and secondary schools in the Henley area and a number of other venues. For more information, visit www.hyf.org.uk
